“Here Are Your Waters"
SUNNYSIDE UP MOMENT - APRIL 3, 2020
DAY EIGHTEEN OF THE CORONAVIRUS SHUTDOWN FOR US AT STACK 'EM HIGH PANCAKES AND SO FORTH
Good morning. As the days of this epidemic string into weeks, we must encourage each other to hush the constant murmur of the news. There is no real value in watching or reading the current events on a continual loop. We must champion to each other the grace that can emerge when we slow the frenetic pace of our lives. We must remind each other that if only for a brief moment, in stillness we can arrest the march of time. There are blessings in the fray. No doubt there are lurking uncertainties. Without question there are justifiable fears. Undeniably, there is sadness and tragedy across the globe. However, if this particular spring isn't a time for renewal, I don't know when it will be.
Robert Frost wrote, "Here are your waters and your watering place. Drink and be whole again beyond confusion."
May you find your way to wholeness among the strange and broken pieces around you.
